Lovely feedback from Jess and Mark…Paddy’s Whiskers played a wedding ceilidh and DJ set for them both in May at Cliff House, Salcombe….
“Thanks for the photos – we’ve really enjoyed looking through them. Thank you so much for being part of our special day. You were great to work with, from the initial contact all the way through to delivering on the night! You were so helpful and communicative during the planning stages, and everyone commented on how great your set was and how fun the dances were! We had the best time and were listening to your CD on the way back home from Devon 😊 We’ll definitely recommend you to all our friends!
Thanks also for playing all the songs we asked for. I meant to talk to more people in the evening but I couldn’t keep off the dance floor!”
(Oh yes..if we get good photos of the night from the band’s view point, we always send a set to our clients….)
Andrew, Jules and Blake from Paddy’s Whiskers were recently back in Spain again on a mission to bring ceilidh or barn dancing to the masses…joining up with old friends and musicians from our travelling days, we formed “The Alpujarra Ceilidh Collective”…and played a massive ceilidh in the heart of the alternative community living around Orgiva, in las Alpujarras – the mountains south of Granada…the sun shone and we had an amazing time.
We’ll be back in the area before long so if you are interested in holding a ceilidh or barn dance, why not drop us an email to email@example.com
We had a truly marvellous time playing for Hannah and Ovi this weekend at the beautiful Barn, South Milton, Devon.
Andrew and Jules from The Whiskers were invited to play acoustic music for the wedding ceremony – including learning “Bridge Over Troubled Water (instrumental)” to play as Hannah walked up the aisle. After the ceremony we then played a set of sparkly celebratory tunes for guests during the drinks reception.
In the evening the rest of the band arrived and we played a wedding ceilidh or barn dance for 200 plus people..who were ALL up for dancing…it was massive…one of our biggest…and so great to have such a diverse multicultural crowd..we loved every minute. Thank you everybody.
In December Paddy’s Whiskers played a wedding ceilidh for Grace and Ben in Sidmouth, Devon. They’d both been at a wedding we’d played a couple of years earlier and were kind enough to book us to play for their big day too.
Early in January they dropped us an email with some lovely feedback:
“Now that Christmas is out of the way, wedding gifts are unwrapped and we are settling in to married life I have finally got round to contacting all of those that helped us make our day so wonderful.
We wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed having you at our wedding. The Ceilidh was just the best fun, I managed to take a little moment and watch all of our guests get stuck in and have THE biggest smiles on their faces. Our personal highlight of all of the dances was the last one “heel toe heel toe and sliiiide” will stay with us forever.
Thank you so much!
Feel free to add this as a testimonial on your website. We hope we see you at another friends wedding, we will of course say hi!
All the best for 2018!
Grace & Ben”
Thank you so much for choosing Paddy’s Whiskers to play for you….we had a really great night….
Andrew, Jules and Blake (from Paddy’s Whiskers) together with long term friend and musical collaborator Sorrel, were lucky enough to be invited to play a ceilidh for an amazing group of people in the mountains of Southern Spain on Boxing Day 2017….we had a great team of callers for the day – thanks to Bates, Lesley, and Huw…..We’ll be back in the region soon so if you would like to book a ceilidh, barn dance or kicking band playing upbeat contemporary Irish, Celtic and American folk music – for your wedding, party, bar or festival – give us a ring on 0044 (0)7514064558 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
Andrew and Jules from Paddy’s Whiskers were recently invited to play music for a BBC1 TV series at Powderham Castle, Devon….blink and you’ll miss us but here we are playing for the party at the end of the recent Mary Berry series (scroll to 56:20 to see us in action): Paddy’s Whiskers on BBC1

A couple of weeks ago we played for James and Katherine, at The Barn in South Milton, Devon. It was a beautiful evening – above is a photo from their stunning first dance. James left us some lovely feedback on Facebook:
“Thank you so much guys. We had such an amazing night and all our friends and family had so much fun dancing to your music. Can we do it all again please ??”
