Jules provides folk fiddle/violin lessons designed to suit your abilities and interests. Teaching is both ‘by ear’ and/or from sheet music and music reading skills can also be taught at the same time. She supports learning by providing recordings of tunes being learned on CD and sheet music to take home when appropriate.
Having learned to play later in life, Jules understands both how much fun playing an instrument can be, and how challenging – so she will make it as easy as she can for you. She’ll even make you a cup of fresh ground coffee, tea or herb tea to help you relax at the start of the lesson.
Lessons are usually an hour long and they take place near Edinbane, North Skye. Charges are £30 per lesson. For the very young, she offers shorter lessons at a reduced rate or can travel to your home. Charges include all extra materials (recordings and sheet music).
All you need is your own violin and enthusiasm!
